OHL Roundup: Boris Katchouk powers Greyhounds past Battalion 5-4

NORTH BAY, Ont. - Boris Katchouk's goal late in the third period gave the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds a 5-4 win over the North Bay Battalion on Thursday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Zachary Senyshyn scored twice for Sault Ste. Marie (18-17-6), while Gabe Guertler and Gustav Bouramman had power-play goals. Brandon Halverson made 27 saves for the win.

Brett McKenzie, Steve Harland, Mike Amadio and Zach Poirier replied for North Bay (20-16-4). Jake Smith stopped 24 shots.

The Greyhounds went 2 for 3 on the power play, while the Battalion couldn't connect on their two man advantages.

OTTERS 4 COLTS 2

ERIE, Pa. — Dylan Strome scored twice — including once on the power play — as the Otters topped Barrie.

Taylor Raddysh and Kyle Maksimovich had a goal and two assists each for Erie (35-5-1).

Cordell James and Julius Nattinen replied for the Colts (24-15-1).

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Eric Cornel's power-play goal at the 14:03 mark of the first period was the first of six unanswered goals as the Petes stormed past Flint.

Dominik Masin, Logan DeNoble, Hunter Garlent, Greg Betzold and Steven Lorentz rounded out the attack for Peterborough (19-17-6).

Matyas Kantner gave the Firebirds (14-21-5) an early 1-0 lead.

SPITFIRES 4 GENERALS 1

WINDSOR, Ont. — Brendan Lemieux scored on the power play and added two assists as the Spitfires downed Oshawa.

Bradley Latour had a short-handed goal for Windsor (26-11-5), while Christian Fischer and Connor Chatham also scored.

Anthony Cirelli was the lone scorer for the Generals (16-21-5).
