Smile, you're on "Candid Camera" -- Nashville Predators style.
Nashville defensemen Shea Weber and Roman Josi -- identifying themselves as Jeff Biddle and DJ Amadio, who are assistant athletic trainers with the team -- went undercover outside Bridgestone Arena, the site of the 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Game on Jan. 30, and asked Predators fans to name their favorite player.
The answers, captured on video, ranged from goaltender Pekka Rinne to Weber to forward Filip Forsberg. One young fan said New York Rangers forward Rick Nash was his favorite Predators player.
Switching roles between interviewer and sound man, Weber and Josi also asked some unwitting fans who they liked better between the two defensemen with most picking Weber, who is the Predators captain.
When one fan was asked by Weber if Josi had a chance to win the hardest shot competition at the NHL All-Stars Skills Competition on Jan. 29, the fan responded, "Absolutely not," with Josi standing a few feet away.
Eventually, a few fans caught on that it was actually Weber and Josi asking the questions.
