The Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers will play each other for the first time since late October when they face off in the Wednesday Night Rivalry game (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TVA Sports).
Philadelphia won 5-4 in overtime at TD Garden on Oct. 21, but the Bruins haven’t gone home empty-handed against the Flyers since a 5-2 loss at Wells Fargo Center on April 23, 2013. One big reason for Boston’s success against Philadelphia has been the play of goaltender Tuukka Rask, who has a 9-1-2 career record against the Flyers with a 2.07 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.
The Bruins and Flyers have been heading in opposite directions in the past few weeks. Boston is 3-6-1 and is coming off a 2-1 loss at the New York Rangers on Monday. Philadelphia has won three in a row and is 6-3-1 in its past 10 games.
