Boston Pride's Denna Laing pens inspiring message
Boston Pride forward Denna Laing made her first public comments since sustaining a spinal cord injury while playing in the inaugural Outdoor Women's Classic on Dec. 31.

Boston Pride forward Denna Laing, who sustained a spinal cord injury while playing in the inaugural Outdoor Women's Classic on Dec. 31, made her first public comments about the incident, using a post on Sunday night to the Denna Laing Team fan page, a Facebook page set up to provide news on her condition.

In the post, she briefly discusses the injury and what lies ahead for her.

"For a long time I have been looking for a new challenge. Even though I was not expecting it be this, here we go," Laing posts.

But, she also discusses what a memorable day the game was for her and her teammates and some of the memories she cherishes from that afternoon.
