WHL Roundup: Helewka, Rebels top Raiders 4-3 for third straight victory

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - Adam Helewka scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period and the Red Deer Rebels extended their win streak to three games with a 4-3 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.

Grayson Pawlenchuk had a goal and an assist for the Rebels (27-13-0). Nelson Nogier and Conner Bleackley also scored.

Reid Gardiner and Jesse Lees each had a power-play goal and an assist for Prince Albert (23-13-4). Jordan Tkatch supplied the rest of the offence.

Rylan Toth stopped 26 shots to secure the victory. Rylan Parenteau made 33 saves in the losing effort.

WARRIORS 4 TIGERS 2

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Ryan Bowen scored two goals and set up another to lead Moose Jaw over the Tigers.

Jayden Halbgewachs and Noah Gregor also found the back of the net for the Warriors (20-15-5) while Tristin Langan chipped in with two assists.

Chad Butcher had a goal and an assist to lead Medicine Hat (14-21-4). Cole Sanford also scored.

AMERICANS 4 ROYALS 3 (SO)

VICTORIA — Vladislav Lukin scored the only goal of the shootout as Tri-City handed the Royals their third straight loss.

Tyler Sandhu had the tying goal on a power-play 11:52 into the third period and Lukin also scored in regulation for the Americans (17-20-2). Beau McCue rounded out the offence.

Matthew Phillips scored twice for Victoria (23-14-4), while Tyler Soy added a goal and an assist.
