TAMPA, Fla. - Resurgent Sidney Crosby scored two power-play goals, Marc-Andre Fleury returned from a concussion and made 38 saves and the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the New York Islanders 5-2 on Saturday night.

Crosby scored his 10th and 11th goals of the season and has 10 points in his last seven games. After scoring just six goals in his first 32 games, Crosby has five scores in his last five contests.

Fleury made his first start since Dec. 14. The Penguins won just three of eight games without him.

Pittsburgh has won four of six after dropping its first four games under new coach Mike Sullivan.

Evgeni Malkin had three assists and has seven points over his last three games. Kris Letang also had three assists and has six points over his last two games. Phil Kessel scored his 12th of the season, Patric Hornqvist his eighth and Matt Cullen added a short-handed goal and an assist.

John Tavares got his 15th goal and Nick Leddy also scored for New York after the Penguins built a 5-0 lead.

BLUE JACKETS 5, CAPITALS 4, SO

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Jack Johnson and Brandon Saad each had two goals, Ryan Johansen scored in the third round of the shootout and last-place Columbus gave Eastern Conference-leading Washington its first losing streak this season.

Columbus goalie Anton Forsberg relieved injured Curtis McElhinney 55 seconds into overtime and picked up his first career win after making six saves before the shootout.

Columbus beat NHL-leading Dallas 6-3 on Tuesday night.

Johansen slowed at the hash marks and flipped a shot over Braden Holtby's glove. Brandon Dubinsky also scored in the shootout and Forsberg made stops on Evgeny Kuznetsov and Nicklas Backstrom.

Holtby allowed more than three goals for only the second time this season. T.J. Oshie and Jason Chimera had power-play goals for Washington, and Marcus Johansson and Kuznetsov also scored.

Saad tied it with 1:08 left after Kuznetsov's go-ahead tally early in the third.

DEVILS 3, STARS 2, OT

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — John Moore scored a power-play goal 1:47 into overtime to give New Jersey a victory over NHL-leading Dallas.

With Jamie Benn in the penalty box for hooking, Moore intercepted a Stars clearing attempt and fired the puck past Antti Niemi.

Kyle Palmieri and Bobby Farnham scored second-period goals and Cory Schneider made 29 saves for the Devils, who have their first three-game winning streak since October.

Patrick Sharp and Colton Sceviour scored in the third period as Dallas overcame a 2-0 deficit to force overtime. Niemi made 27 saves for the Stars, who are 5-1-2 in their last eight games.

The Devils prevailed despite the absence of Mike Cammalleri, their leading scorer. He was scratched before the game, and the team did not provide a medical update.

PANTHERS 3, RANGERS 0

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Roberto Luongo stopped 39 shots for his third shutout of the season as the Florida Panthers beat the new York Rangers 3-0 Saturday night for their franchise-record eighth straight win.

Brandon Pirri, Vincent Trocheck and Logan Shaw each scored to help Florida regain first place in the Atlantic Division. The Panthers also set a franchise record with their sixth consecutive home win and snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Rangers, beating them for the first time since April 23, 2013.

Luongo got his seventh straight win, breaking his own Panthers franchise consecutive wins record, and 71st career shutout.

Henrik Lundqvist made 15 saves for the Rangers, who have lost eight of their past nine on the road and 10 of their past 14 overall (4-8-2).

KINGS 2, FLYERS 1

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dwight King and Drew Doughty scored first-period goals, Jonathan Quick made 29 saves and Los Angeles beat Philadelphia for its fifth straight victory.

Quick's bid for his 41st career shutout, snapping a tie with Frankie Brimsek and John Vanbiesbrouk for most shutouts by an American-born goalie ended with 12:10 to go in the third period when Brayden Schenn scored a power-play goal against his former team.

Philadelphia's Michal Neuvirth, who sat out the previous five games because of an illness, made 30 saves in his first start since Dec. 15. But it wasn't enough to prevent a fifth straight road loss for the Flyers, three of them coming on this California trip.

MAPLE LEAFS 4, BLUES 1

TORONTO (AP) — Peter Holland scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period, Jonathan Bernier stopped 39 shots and Toronto beat St. Louis.

James van Riemsdyk, Nazem Kadri and Michael Grabner also scored to help Toronto beat St. Louis in regulation at home for the first time since 1998.

Vladimir Tarasenko got his 23rd goal of the season and Jake Allen finished with 29 saves for the Blues.

Holland's power-play goal at 3:15 of the third put the Blues ahead 2-1.

Tarasenko got the Blues on the scoreboard first at 8:28 of the second on a one-timer of a cross-ice pass from David Backes

That lead only lasted 5 seconds, with van Riemsdyk tying the score on a low shot that fooled Allen.

OILERS 4, COYOTES 3, SO.

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored in the third round of the shootout, Jordan Eberle had two goals in regulation and Edmonton beat Arizona to end a four-game losing streak.

Taylor Hall also scored to help the Oilers win for the eighth time in their last 10 home games.

Steve Downie, Brad Richardson and Anthony Duclair scored for the Coyotes, but Arizona has lost two of its past three.

Duclair's goal put Arizona up 3-2 5:51 into the third period off a beautiful cross-ice saucer pass from Max Domi during a 2-on-1.

Eberle tied it with his second goal with 5:52 left. It was his 300th NHL point.

Cam Talbot made 31 saves and stopped two of three attempts in the shootout for Edmonton.

RED WINGS 4, SABRES 3

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Tomas Tatar scored with 2:50 left in the third period to lift Detroit over Buffalo.

Riley Sheahan, Henrik Zetterberg and Brad Richards also scored as the Red Wings snapped a three-game losing streak.

Rookie Jack Eichel scored twice and Sam Reinhart also scored for Buffalo, which has lost four in a row.

Detroit held 2-0 and 3-2 leads, and was outshot 35-23 by the Sabres.

Petr Mrazek stopped 32 shots in the win.

LIGHTNING 3, WILD 2, SO

Ryan Callahan scored the lone shootout goal and Tampa Bay beat Minnesota.

Callahan made several moves before beating Devan Dubnyk from in-close.

Valtteri Filppula and Nikita Kucherov scored in regulation for the Lightning, who went 3-2-1 on a six-game homestand. Left wing Ondrej Palat was reunited on a line with Kucherov and Tyler Johnson after missing eight games with an ankle injury and had an assist.

Minnesota got goals from Charlie Coyle and Jared Spurgeon. Zach Parise played after sitting out a game with a knee injury.

Rob Martell worked his 1,000th and final game as an NHL referee, and was honoured in a pregame ceremony.

PREDATORS 2, HURRICANES 1, OT

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Mattias Ekholm scored with 1:51 left in overtime to lift Nashville over Carolina.

Paul Gaustad tied the game for Nashville with a short-handed goal in the second period. Ekholm assisted and Gaustad got his first goal of the season.

Victor Rask put Carolina ahead 8:58 into the first with his 11th goal.

Nashville's Pekka Rinne had 27 saves and Carolina's Eddie Lack stopped 19.

In overtime, Ekholm corralled a deflected pass from Filip Forsberg, skated in on Lack and beat the goalie top shelf.

Nashville captain and defenceman Shea Weber played in his 724th game for the franchise, passing Martin Erat for second on the club's career list. David Legwand played in 956 games.

JETS 4, SHARKS 1

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves, Drew Stafford scored a short-handed goal and Winnipeg beat San Jose to end a six-game road losing streak.

Joel Armia, a first-round pick by Buffalo in 2011, scored for Winnipeg to get his first NHL point. Mathieu Perrault and Nikolaj Ehlers also had goals and Winnipeg won its third in four games.

San Jose's Brent Burns scored his 16th goal, most among NHL defencemen. The Sharks are still looking for their first winning streak in San Jose this season and fell to a league-worst 5-11 at home.

Martin Jones had 17 saves on 20 shots before being replaced by Alex Stalock for the third period. Stalock had six saves.

FLAMES 4, AVALANCHE 0

DENVER (AP) — Karri Ramo made 26 saves for his first shutout of the season, Josh Jooris had a goal and an assist and Calgary beat Colorado.

Matt Stajan, Dougie Hamilton and Mikael Backlund also scored to help the Flames improve to 10-4-0 since the start of December. Ramo got his fifth career shutout and first since Nov. 29, 2014, at Arizona.

Colorado's Jarome Iginla, vying to become the 19th player in NHL history to score 600 goals, was shut down by his former team. After getting No. 599 last Sunday against the Coyotes, he has not scored in three straight games since then.

Iginla, who scored 525 goals in 15-plus seasons with the Flames, had a couple of chances in this one but one shot was blocked and Ramo made a save on another early in the third period.
