Andrew Campbell scores winner as AHL Marlies topple Crunch 3-2

TORONTO - Andrew Campbell scored the go-ahead goal 2:51 into the third period as the Toronto Marlies edged the Syracuse Crunch 3-2 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

Sam Carrick and Justin Holl scored the other goals for the Marlies (26-7-2).

Tye McGinn had a second-period goal and an assist for Syracuse (14-13-5) and Jett Tambellini put the Crunch on the board 3:20 into the first.

Toronto goaltender Rob Madore made 26 saves in the win. Kristers Gudlevskis stopped 32 shots in the losing effort.

Neither team scored on the power play. The Marlies were 0 for 4 while Syracuse went 0 for 5.
