COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky off Injured Reserve, placed left wing Matt Calvert on Injured Reserve and assigned goaltender Joonas Korpisalo to Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Bobrovsky, 27, has missed the past 10 games after suffering a groin strain on December 8 vs. Los Angeles. He is 11-12-1 with a 2.52 goals-against average, .916 save percentage and one shutout in 25 games this season. The Novokuznetsk, Russia native has compiled a 136-83-25 record with a 2.51 goals-against average, .918 save percentage and 12 shutouts in 255 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers. Acquired from Philadelphia via trade on June 22, 2012, he has gone 94-60-15 with a 2.41 goals-against average, .922 save percentage and 12 shutouts in 172 appearances with Columbus and won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goaltender following the 2012-13 campaign.
