Ducks' Fowler out 4-6 weeks with sprained knee
Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler has a sprained knee and will miss 4-6 weeks, the Ducks announced Monday.

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler will miss 4-6 weeks because of a sprained knee, the Ducks announced Saturday.

Fowler was injured in the first period of a 4-2 win against the Philadelphia Flyers last Sunday. He assisted on a power-play goal by Ryan Getzlaf at 6:28 but didn't take another shift.

"Any time you're injured, it's disappointing," Fowler told the Ducks website. "I kind of had an idea of what I was looking at when it first happened, so it was kind of to be expected. It wasn't terrible news; I guess it could have been worse, but I knew what I was looking at going into it."

Fowler has three goals and 12 points in 34 games.

The Ducks recalled defenseman Shea Theodore from San Diego of the American Hockey League.
