Manitoba gives up late goal to Aberg, fall 7-5 to Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE - Max Gortz struck twice and Pontus Aberg scored the winner at 19:27 of the third period as the Milwaukee Admirals beat the Manitoba Moose 7-5 on Saturday in American Hockey League play.

Felix Girard, Jimmy Oligny and Kristian Nakyva also scored for the Admirals (18-9-1) and Zac Larraza added an empty netter shortly after Aberg's winner. Kevin Fiala tacked on three assists.

Chase De Leo led the Moose (8-15-3) with three goals while Nic Petan added three helpers. Austen Brassard and Ryan Olsen rounded out the offence with a goal and an assist apiece.

Milwaukee's Juuse Saros made 22 saves for the win as Eric Comrie turned away 24-of-30 shots for Manitoba.

The Admirals went 1 for 1 on the power play while the Moose scored once on two chances with the man advantage.
