VAL-D'OR, Que. - Nicolas Aube-Kubel scored the go-ahead goal on a power play 17:28 into the third period and the Val-d'Or Foreurs extended their win streak to 15 games with a 4-3 victory over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Aube-Kubel and Anthony Richard each had a goal and an assist apiece for Val-d'Or (25-7-3). Alexis Pepin and Jan Mandat rounded out the attack.
Gabriel Fontaine, Peter Abbandonato and Jean-Christophe-Beaudin, to tie the game 3-3 midway through the second period, scored for the Huskies (26-4-4), who had an eight-game win streak halted.
Etienne Montpetit made 21 saves for the win. Chase Marchand stopped 18 shots in a losing effort.
The Foreurs were 1 for 6 on the power play while Rouyn-Noranda converted once on two power-play opportunities.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Joel Caron's second-period goal stood as the winner as Cape Breton topped the Sea Dogs.
Anthony Sorrentino, Michael Joly and Pierre-Luc Dubois also scored for the Screaming Eagles (19-14-3), who had four straight goals before their opponent found the back of the net.
Adam Marsh and Mathieu Joseph had power-play goals in the third period for Saint John (19-13-2).
