Rask scores 53 seconds into OT to give Hurricanes 5-4 win over Coyotes

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Victor Rask's left-handed wrist shot 53 seconds into overtime gave the Carolina Hurricanes a 5-4 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday night.

Rask's goal came after the Coyotes' Connor Murphy scored with 15.7 seconds left in regulation to tie it. Seconds earlier, the Hurricanes' Elias Lindholm missed an empty net with Carolina up 4-3.

Justin Faulk had a goal and an assist, his goal a team-high 12th of the season. Faulk's goal came on the power play 40 seconds into the third period. Faulk has 13 assists and has tallied a point in four straight games.

Carolina goalie Eddie Lack stopped 24 shots a night after making 31 saves in a win at Anaheim, but he gave up two goals early in the third period that made the game closer. Anthony Duclair scored 1:23 into the period, his second goal of the game, and Kyle Chipchura put in a deflection moments later.
