OHL Roundup: Senyshyn completes hat trick in OT as Greyhounds beat Generals

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Zachary Senyshyn completed a hat trick on the power play in overtime as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds beat the Oshawa Generals 5-4 on Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

It was the seventh goal this week for Senyshyn, who scored four against the Sudbury Wolves in a 10-3 victory on Wednesday.

Blake Speers had a goal and three assists for the Greyhounds (11-13-3), including the tying goal at 19:56 of the third period. Boris Katchouk opened the scoring in the first.

Riley Stillman, Anthony Cirelli, Daniel Robertson and Joe Manchurek supplied the offence for Oshawa (10-14-5).

Brandon Halverson turned aside 30 shots for the win as Jeremy Brodeur made 20 saves for the Generals.

Sault Ste. Marie scored twice on eight power plays while Oshawa was 3 for 5.

OTTERS 5 ATTACK 0

ERIE, Pa. — Devin Williams stopped all 17 shots he faced as the Otters shut out Owen Sound.

Taylor Raddysh and Nick Betz scored on the power play for Erie (25-3-1), which won its sixth straight. Kyle Maksimovich, Jordan Sambrook and Vanya Lodnia rounded out the attack.

Michael McNiven kicked out 23 shots for the Attack (11-11-6).

KNIGHTS 7 67'S 2

LONDON, Ont. — Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Mitchell Marner scored his second hat trick in two days and added an assist as the Knights routed Ottawa.

Christian Dvorak had two goals and two assists while Matthew Tkachuk tacked on four assists for London (20-4-2), which won its sixth in a row. Olli Juolevi and Kole Sherwood added the others.

Sam Studnicka and Nathan Todd found the back of the net for the 67's (16-11-1).

SPIRIT 5 BATTALION 2

SAGINAW, Mich. — Mitchell Stephens had a goal and two assists as the Spirit scored five times in the third period to beat North Bay.

Mike Davies, Will Petschenig, Dylan Sadowy and Connor Brown also found the back of the net in the third for Saginaw (11-15-2), which won its third in a row.

Steve Harland and Mike Amadio chipped in for the Battalion (12-12-2).

STING 5 FIREBIRDS 3

FLINT, Mich. — Pavel Zacha had two goals and two assists to lead Sarnia past the Firebirds.

Matt Mistele, Nikita Korostelev and Brandon Lindberg supplied the rest of the offence for the Sting (15-10-2). Jakob Chychrun tacked on three assists.

Cullen Mercer, Ryan Moore and Will Bitten scored for Flint (13-12-3).
