NHL Network and Sportsnet 1 will televise "Rogers Hometown Hockey" on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET, prior to the game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Edmonton Oilers. The location this week is Brantford, Ontario and the show will celebrate the history of hockey in the city.
Among the features airing on the pregame show:
* Wayne Gretzky, the most famous Brantford, Ontario native, gives a look at the memorabilia at his dad Walter's basement in their Brantford home.
* Gretzky, who attended Greenbrier Elementary School in Brantford visited the school for the first time since 1973 and met with one of his favorite teachers.
* A feature on how Gretzky's trade to the Los Angeles Kings in 1988 changed hockey for the better in California, including at the grassroots level.
* Joel Ward, born in North York, Ontario, helps with a charity for Prince Edward Island native and former college teammate Drew Power, who died at 31.
* A visit to the Canadian headquarters of Zamboni in Brantford, along with the history of the Zamboni and how it is made.
