Gustav Nyquist scores in OT to help Red Wings complete comeback, beat Predators 5-4

DETROIT - Gustav Nyquist scored 1:41 into overtime and the Detroit Red Wings overcame a pair of two-goal deficits to beat the Nashville Predators 5-4 on Saturday night.

Shea Weber had a hat trick and put Nashville up 4-2 with his third score 8:03 into the third period.

Dylan Larkin scored for Detroit about a minute later, and then Justin Abdelkader tied it with a power-play goal with 2:23 left.

Brad Richards and Tomas Tatar scored the Red Wings' other goals. Nyquist, Larkin and Tatar also had an assist each.

Detroit is on a 10-game points streak. Nashville has won two of its last nine games.

Two of Weber's goals came on the power play, including the tying tally. Viktor Arvidsson had Nashville's other goal.

Petr Mrazek stopped 28 shots for Detroit.

Richards scored his first goal of the season late in the first period after the puck deflected into the net off Weber's skate for a 1-0 Detroit lead.

Weber's first power-play goal tied it early in the second, and Arvidsson scored on a backhander minutes later for a 2-1 lead. Weber scored his second goal for a 3-1 lead, but Tatar converted for the Red Wings moments later on the power play.

Nashville's Pekka Rinne had 31 saves.
