QMJHL Roundup: Dubois scores twice in Screaming Eagles' rout of Remparts

SYDNEY, N.S. - Pierre-Luc Dubois scored twice and added an assist as the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles routed the Quebec Remparts 7-2 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Dubois, Dillon Boucher, Colin MacSween and Loik Leveille all scored in the first for the Screaming Eagles (14-12-3). Maxim Lazarev and Cole Reginato had the others.

Derek Gentile and Nikolas Brouillard found the back of the net for Quebec (16-12-2).

Alexandre Belanger made 29 saves for the win in net. Brady Labrecque started for the Remparts, but was pulled after turning aside six-of-nine shots in 14:42. Julian Galloway went the rest of the way and kicked out 20-of-24 shots in 45:18.

Cape Breton scored once on five power-play chances while Quebec was 1 for 6.

Forward Michael Joly was not in the Screaming Eagles lineup. The team announced on their Twitter account that Joly, who was acquired earlier in the day from the Rimouski Oceanic for three draft picks, had a delayed flight.

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Conor Garland scored on the power play and added three assists as Moncton got past the Cataractes.

Austin Kosack, Manuel Wiederer, William Bower and Eric Leger also chipped in for the Wildcats (18-8-3).

Dennis Yan and Alexis D'Aoust found the back of the net for Shawinigan (20-7-1).

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Antoine Dufort-Plante struck twice as the Oceanic beat Baie-Comeau.

Charles-Edouard D'Astous and Tyler Boland both had a goal and an assist for Rimouski (17-9-2). Samuel Beck had the other.

Vaclav Karabacek, Nicolas Meloche and Fabrizio Ricci scored for the Drakkar (5-18-2).

FOREURS 4 TITAN 0

VAL-D'OR, Que. — Etienne Montpetit stopped all 16 shots he faced as the Foreurs shut out Acadie-Bathurst.

Shawn Ouellette-St-Amant, Julien Gauthier, Anthony Beauregard and Mathieu Nadeau supplied the offence for Val-d'Or (19-7-3).

Marc Audet turned away 34 shots for the Titan (10-17-3).

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Kristian Pospisil scored twice and added an assist and Mark Grametbauer stopped 14 shots as the Armada blanked Chicoutimi.

Connor Bramwell, on the power play, and Pascal Corbeil rounded out the attack for Blainville-Boisbriand (11-14-4).

Julio Billia turned away 45 shots for the Sagueneens (10-14-4).
