WHL Roundup: Dryden Hunt powers Moose Jaw Warriors past Tri-City Americans 4-1

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Dryden Hunt had back-to-back goals to help the Moose Jaw Warriors rally past the Tri-City Americans 4-1 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League play.

Jesse Shynkaruk and Nikita Popugaev also scored as Moose Jaw (12-8-4) had four goals in the third period to come back from a 1-0 deficit. Brody Willms made 32 saves.

Parker Bowles opened scoring in the first period for Tri-City (9-14-1) and Parker AuCoin struck in the third. Evan Sarthou stopped 24-of-37 shots for the Americans.

Neither team had much success with the extra attacker. The Warriors went 0 for 4 on the power play, while Tri-City was 0 for 3.

HITMEN 4 RAIDERS 2

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Jakob Stukel scored twice and added an assist to lead Calgary past the Raiders.

Tyler Mrkonjic and Carsen Twarynski also had goals for the Hitmen (15-10-1).

Cal Babych and Sean Montgomery supplied the offence for Prince Albert (15-6-3).

PATS 3 REBELS 2

RED DEER, Alta. — Taylor Cooper had the eventual winner at the 5:12 mark of the second period as Regina edged the Rebels.

Rykr Cole scored earlier in the second for the Pats (11-9-2), while Adam Brooks added a goal in the first period.

Ivan Nikolishin and Conner Bleackley replied for Red Deer (16-8-0).
