OHL Roundup: Spirit score five goals in third period to get past Greyhounds

SAGINAW, Mich. - Cole Coskey's power-play goal was the first of five-straight in the third period for the Saginaw Spirit as they came back to beat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 6-4 on Wednesday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Marcus Crawford, Devon Paliani, Kris Bennett and Will Petschenig also scored in the third for the Spirit (7-7-2). Tye Felhaber rounded out the attack.

Zachary Senyshyn, Makar Tokarev, Conor Timmins and Gabe Guertler had goals for Sault Ste. Marie (6-8-2).

David Ovsjannikov picked up the win in net after turning aside 26-of-27 shots in 49:42 of relief. Evan Cormier started the game for Saginaw but was pulled after kicking out 8-of-11 shots in 10:18. Brandon Halverson turned away 31-of-36 shots for the Greyhounds.

The Spirit scored once on two power plays while Sault Ste. Marie was scoreless on three chances.

OTTAWA — Stepan Falkovsky scored the winner late in the second period as the 67's edged Kingston.

Jeremiah Addison opened the scoring with a power-play goal earlier in the second for Ottawa (10-6-1).

Warren Foegele replied in the third for the Frontenacs (9-5-2), who have now lost three in a row.

STEELHEADS 4 BULLDOGS 3

HAMILTON — Austin Osmanski struck twice as Mississauga slipped past the Bulldogs.

Damian Bourne and Jason Smith also found the back of the net for the Steelheads (8-7-2).

Mason Marchment, Trent Fox and Matt Luff scored for Hamilton (6-9-0).

STING 4 ATTACK 3 (OT)

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Nikita Korostelev scored 3:41 into overtime to lead Sarnia past the Attack.

Patrick White, Pavel Zacha and Troy Lajeunesse provided the offence in regulation for the Sting (9-5-1), who snapped a two-game skid.

Jonah Gadjovich, Jaden Lindo and Ethan Szypula had goals for Owen Sound (8-6-3).
