SEGUIN HAT TRICK POWERS STARS IN BOSTON

Tyler Seguin (3-0—3) scored a hat trick against his former team to help the Dallas Stars defeat the Boston Bruins 5-3. The Stars earned their fifth win in their past six road games and halted the Bruins' point streak at seven games (6-0-1)

* Seguin, who had 56-65—121 with the Bruins from 2010-13 (203 GP), scored his first goals in five games against his former team (3-2—5). Via the Elias Sports Bureau, Seguin is the first former Bruins player to score a hat trick against the team since Nov. 7, 1996 (Mariusz Czerkawski: 3-0—3 w/ EDM).

* Elias adds that Seguin's six hat tricks since joining the Stars in 2013-14 are the most in the NHL in that span. Seguin has seven hat tricks since entering the NHL in 2010-11, tied with Steven Stamkos for second-most in that span behind Corey Perry (8).

* Jamie Benn, Jason Spezza and John Klingberg each had two assists. Benn (10-10—20) and Seguin (8-12—20), who stretched his point streak to six games (4-6—10), share the League lead with 20 points apiece.

* ICYMI: Seguin tossed a game puck to a fan on her 16th birthday.

TOP LINE POWERS OILERS

The line of Taylor Hall (1-2—3), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (2-0—2) and Leon Draisaitl (0-2—2) combined for 3-4—7 to help the Edmonton Oilers defeat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 and improve to 5-1-3 in their past nine games with the Flyers at Rexall Place dating to Jan. 3, 1999 (PHI: 2-4-3).

* Hall registered at least three points in a game for the second straight game (Oct. 31 vs. CGY: 1-2—3) and for the 18th time in his career. He has three such performances in 13 games in 2015-16 (also Oct. 17 at CGY: 1-2—3), one more than he had all of last season (53 GP).

* In addition, Hall has multiple points in each of his past four games. Elias says Hall is the first Oilers player to record multiple points in four straight games since Tom Gilbert from April 3-10, 2010 (1-8—9).

* Overall, Hall (4-8—12) and Nugent-Hopkins (3-6—9) each extended their point streaks to six games, equaling the longest of their careers.

* Draisaitl has points in all three games since being recalled from the American Hockey League on Thursday, with 3-4—7 in that span, two points shy of his point total from his first 37 career appearances (2-7—9).

IGINLA POWERS AVALANCHE PAST FORMER CLUB

Jarome Iginla (2-1—3) had three points, including the primary assist on the game-winning goal at 13:01 of the third period, to help the Colorado Avalanche snap a four-game skid at Pepsi Center (0-3-1) with a 6-3 win against the Calgary Flames.

* Iginla, who compiled 525-570—1,095 with the Flames from 1996-2013, scored against his former club for the first time. He now has at least one goal against all 30 NHL teams.

* Overall, Iginla (595-642—1,237) moved within two points of Peter Stastny (450-789—1,239) for 37th place on the NHL's all-time points list. He sits five goals shy of becoming the 19th player in NHL history to score 600 goals.

* Nathan MacKinnon (1-2—3) scored his third game-winning goal of the season, tied for tops in the NHL and one more than he had last season (64 GP).

* Five other players had multiple points for the Avalanche: Tyson Barrie (0-3—3), Matt Duchene (2-0—2), Erik Johnson (1-1—2), Gabriel Landeskog (0-2—2) and Francois Beauchemin (0-2—2).

RANGERS HANDLE CAPITALS IN PLAYOFF REMATCH

Four different players -- Derick Brassard, Kevin Hayes, Oscar Lindberg and Kevin Klein -- had 1-1—2 to power the New York Rangers past the Washington Capitals 5-2 in their first game since the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, when New York clinched their Eastern Conference Second Round series in overtime in Game 7.

* The Rangers earned their fifth consecutive win at Madison Square Garden, outscoring opponents 20-5 in that span. Overall, the Rangers have won three straight and own a seven-game point streak (5-0-2).

* Klein scored his first game-winning goal of the season and fifth since the start of 2014-15 (77 GP); he had two such goals in 433 GP prior to that. Lindberg leads NHL rookies with six goals, while Brassard has 3-4—7 in his past four games.

TURRIS LIFTS SENATORS IN OT

Kyle Turris scored 34 seconds into overtime to lift the Ottawa Senators to a 2-1 win against the Montreal Canadiens. The Senators have a 5-1-0 record on the road in 2015-16 and handed the Canadiens their first loss at Bell Centre this season (5-0-1).

* Turris scored his second game-winning goal of the season and 21st of his career. He has three overtime goals in 410 regular-season games (also April 4 vs. WSH and March 16, 2013 at BUF); he has two game-winning goals in the playoffs (27 GP), both in overtime.

* Turris (8-5—13) leads the Senators with eight goals and is tied with Mark Stone (3-10—13) for the team lead in points.

* Craig Anderson made 36 saves to become the second goaltender to reach 100 wins with the Senators (100-68-26). Only Patrick Lalime (146-100-30) has more victories for the franchise.

3-ON-3 OVERTIME: DID YOU KNOW?

Twenty-four of the 34 games that have required overtime this season have been decided in the extra period (70.6%).

AROUND THE RINKS

* Jhonas Enroth made 24 saves to record his sixth career shutout and first with the Los Angeles Kings, who defeated the St. Louis Blues 3-0. Enroth helped them improve to 11-3-0 in their past 14 regular-season games against the Blues dating to Oct. 18, 2011 (STL: 3-8-3). Jeff Carter and Tanner Pearson each had 1-1—2 for the Kings, who have won eight of their past nine games following an 0-3-0 start to the season.

* Dylan Larkin scored the go-ahead goal at 5:54 of the third period to help the Detroit Red Wings defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 and improve to 17-2-3 in 22 all-time games against the Lightning at Joe Louis Arena, including a 2-0-0 mark this season. Larkin, the 15th pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, has 4-5—9 in his first 12 games, including two game-winning goals.

* Sergei Bobrovsky made a season-high 41 saves, including 18 in the third period, to help the Columbus Blue Jackets defeat the San Jose Sharks 5-2 and improve to 7-1-1 in their past nine games against the Sharks dating to Feb. 21, 2012 (SJS: 2-7-0). Brandon Saad, Ryan Murray and Scott Hartnell each had one goal and one assist for the Blue Jackets, who have won three of their past five games following an 0-8-0 start to the season.

* Casey Cizikas broke a tie at 17:48 of the third period to propel the New York Islanders to a 2-1 win against the New Jersey Devils, their seventh win in their past eight games against the Devils dating to March 29, 2014 (NJD: 1-3-4) and halt a three-game skid overall (0-1-2). Jaroslav Halak made 23 saves to move to 4-1-1 in six appearances this season (1.65 goals-against average, .936 save percentage, two shutouts).

MILESTONES & BENCHMARKS

* Stars forward Tyler Seguin, the second pick (by BOS) in 2010, became the first player from his draft class to reach 300 career points (138-164—302 in 367 GP).

* Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin scored his 481st career goal to move within two goals of Sergei Fedorov (483) for the most by a Russian-born player in NHL history.

* Via Elias, Henrik Lundqvist (32 SV) played in his 630th career game (all w/ NYR), surpassing Turk Broda (629 GP w/ TOR) for second-most appearances by a goaltender with only one franchise. The only goaltender to play more games with one franchise without ever playing for another club is Mike Richter, who suited up in 666 career games with the Rangers.

* Bruins defenseman Colin Miller (10 GP) and Stars defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka (62 GP) each scored his first NHL goal.

* Red Wings forward Drew Miller (500) and Flames forward David Jones (400) each played in milestone games.

The Canadiens fell to 5-0-1 at the Bell Centre, leaving the Wild (5-0-0) as the only team without a loss of any kind on home ice this season . . . The Blues (4-1-1) suffered their first regulation loss at Scottrade Center . . . Canadiens goaltender Mike Condon (25 saves), who made his NHL debut on Oct. 11 at OTT, has earned at least a point in each of his first five games (4-0-1) . . . Flyers goaltender Michal Neuvirth made a season-high 45 saves, including 18 in the first period . . . Senators forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored his second shorthanded goal of 2015-16, the most in the League . . . Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov leads all defensemen and is tied for the NHL lead (w/ Tyler Seguin) with 12 assists . . . Sharks captain Joe Pavelski (2-0—2) extended his goal streak to five games and point streak to six games (6-1—7) . . .
