REIMER, LUPUL LEAD MAPLE LEAFS OVER STARS

James Reimer made 43 saves and Joffrey Lupul (2-1—3) scored two second-period goals to help the Toronto Maple Leafs improve to 6-1-0 in their past seven games vs. the Dallas Stars dating to Nov. 22, 2010 (DAL: 1-4-2), which includes a 4-0-0 record at home.

* Reimer – who made 19 of his 43 saves in the second period stanza – is 2-1-1 (2.77 GAA, .908 SV%). Reimer denied Valeri Nichushkin on a third-period penalty shot attempt.

* Per Elias, Reimer is 13-2-2 in 17 career regular-season games where he has made 40 or more saves.

BLACKHAWKS RALLY TO SIXTH STRAIGHT HOME WIN

Down 2-1 at the outset of the third period, the Chicago Blackhawks scored three unanswered goals in a 4-2 win against the Los Angeles Kings for their sixth consecutive victory on home ice.

* Forwards Artem Anisimov (1-1—2), Jonathan Toews (1-1—2) and Patrick Kane (1-1—2) all had multiple points. Kane extended his point streak to seven games (4-6—10).

* Toews and Kane have 13-16—29 and 9-19—28 in 28 career regular-season games vs. LAK, respectively.

* Corey Crawford made 33 saves and is 6-3-0 (1.79 GAA, .938 SV%, 2 SO). Crawford is 8-4-0 in 12 career regular-season starts vs. LAK.

* The Blackhawks are 8-2-0 in their past 10 regular-season games vs. LAK dating to Jan. 19, 2013 (LAK: 2-8-0), which includes a 4-0-0 record in their past four games at home.

CANUCKS EXTEND POINT STREAK TO FIVE GAMES

Bo Horvat (1-1—2) had two points – including scoring the game-winning goal at 10:10 of the second period – and Ryan Miller turned aside 27 of 28 shots for the Vancouver Canucks, who extended their point streak to five games (3-0-2) with a 4-1 win against the Philadelphia Flyers.

* The Canucks are 4-0-1 in their past five games vs. PHI dating to Oct. 15, 2013 (PHI: 1-4-0).

* Canucks forward Jake Virtanen scored the first goal of his NHL career (9 GP).

* Maple Leafs forward Byron Froese got the first assist/point of his NHL career (5 GP).

* Blackhawks defenseman Viktor Svedberg had the first assist of his NHL career (11 GP).

* Toronto forward Brad Boyes (1-1—2) scored his first goal as a member of the Maple Leafs (9 GP) exactly 15 years, four months and 10 days since being selected 24th by the club in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

* Canucks forward Alexandre Burrows became the eighth player in their history to skate in 700 games.

Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly (1-2—3) posted a career-high three points. ... Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri (0-1—1) has 4-6—10 in six career games vs. DAL. ... Stars forward Jamie Benn scored his League-leading 10th goal of the season and has 10-8—18 in his first 12 games. Per Elias, Benn is the first Stars player to score 10 goals through their opening 12 games of a season since Mike Modano in 1993-94 (10-5—15). Benn has 2-6—8 in eight career games vs. TOR. ... Stars forward Tyler Seguin had his League-leading 12th assist of the season and extended his point streak to five games (1-6—7). ... Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook (0-1—1) extended his point streak to six games (2-6—8). ... Blackhawks rookie Artemi Panarin (0-1—1) has 2-9—11 in his first 12 games. Panarin leads all rookies in assists and ranks tied for second in points. ... Canucks forward Henrik Sedin (0-1—1) has 3-18—21 in 16 career games vs. PHI. ... Ottawa Senators forward Mark Stone has been suspended for two games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Detroit Red Wings forward Landon Ferraro. ... Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien will have a hearing Tuesday with the NHL Department of Player Safety for an illegal check to the head of Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher. ... Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand, St. Louis Blues goaltender Jake Allen and Edmonton Oilers left wing Taylor Hall were named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the week ending Nov. 1. ... Oilers center Connor McDavid, who led all rookies with 5-7—12 in 12 games, has been named the NHL's Rookie of the Month for October. ... Dallas Stars left wing Jamie Benn, Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price and Boston Bruins center David Krejci have been named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the month of October. ... ICYMI: The Canucks paid tribute to the NBA's Vancouver Grizzlies at Rogers Arena; they played six seasons in Vancouver from 1995-2001 – which included former player Shareef Abdur-Rahim participating in a ceremonial puck-drop.
