WHL Roundup: Chase Harrison scores OT winner as Pats beat Warriors

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Chase Harrison scored his first of the season 13 seconds into extra time as the Regina Pats beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 4-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Austin Wagner and Adam Brooks led the Regina (7-6-1) offence with a goal and two assists each. Colton Koreker had the other.

Brett Howden had two goals and an assist for the Warriors (8-3-3). Brayden Point forced overtime after scoring his 11th of the season at 19:17 of the third period.

Tyler Brown made 38 saves for the win as Brody Williams turned aside 28 shots for Moose Jaw.

The Pats were 0 for 4 on the power play while the Warriors went 0 for 5.

Regina's Aaron Macklin received a game misconduct at 18:51 of the second period after a major penalty for checking to the head.

THUNDERBIRDS 5 ICE 2

CRANBROOK, B.C. — Ryan Gropp had two goals and an assist to lead Seattle over the Ice.

Nolan Volcan, Keegan Kolesar and Mathew Barzal supplied the rest of the Thunderbirds (9-2-1) offence.

Luke Philp and Bryan Allbee scored for Kootenay (3-12-2).

BRONCOS 4 RAIDERS 2

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Jon Martin scored three times in the second period, including twice on the power play, as Swift Current topped the Raiders.

Martin added an assist while Glenn Gawdin also scored in the second and had two helpers for the Broncos (6-7-2). Jake DeBrusk chipped in with four assists.

Dalton Yorke and Sean Montgomery scored for Prince Albert (11-3-2), which had picked up points in eight-straight games prior to Saturday.

ROCKETS 5 HURRICANES 3

KELOWNA, B.C. — Dillon Dube and Tyson Baillie had a goal and two assists each as the Rockets downed Lethbridge.

Nick Merkley, Cole Linaker and Rodney Southam also scored for Kelowna (10-5-0).

Cory Millette struck twice for the Hurricanes (10-4-0). Andrew Nielsen added the other.
