NHL Network, Sportsnet 1, and Sportsnet 360 will televise "Rogers Hometown Hockey" on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET prior to the game between the Winnipeg Jets and Montreal Canadiens. The location this week is Sherbrooke, Quebec, and the show will celebrate the history of hockey in the city.
Among the features airing on the pregame show:
* Chicago Blackhawks goalie coach Jimmy Waite won the Stanley Cup in 2015 in his first season in that position. He took over for his brother, Stephane, who held the position prior. The brothers are from Sherbrooke.
* Canadiens coach Michel Therrien spent years in the minors including a stint with the Sherbrooke Canadiens in the American Hockey League in 1984-85, when he led them to the Calder Cup.
* A look at the history of the Sherwood stick, one of the most famous in the game, which was founded in Sherbrooke.
* Prospect Daniel Audette, the first pick in the 2012 Q Draft by the Sherbrooke Phoenix, discusses how his father, Donald Audette, has helped him every step of the way in his hockey career.
