QMJHL Roundup: Huskies continue to roll, down Islanders 4-1

CHARLOTTETOWN - Chase Marchand made 25 saves as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies continued to roll, downing the host Charlottetown Islanders 4-1 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Jean-Christophe Beaudin and Antoine Waked each had a goal and an assist for the Huskies (13-1-4), who have earned at least one point in 16 straight outings and sit atop the league standings.

Gabriel Fontaine and Francis Perron also scored for Rouyn-Noranda and Martins Dzierkals chipped in with two helpers.

Kameron Kielly supplied the offence for the Islanders (9-8-1), who got a 29-save outing from Mason McDonald.

The Huskies went 1 for 4 on the power play while Charlottetown failed to score on either of its chances with the man advantage.

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Dylan Montcalm scored the shootout winner and Louis-Phillip Guindon stopped 41 shots as Rimouski slipped past the Phoenix to halt a three-game losing streak.

Anthony Chapados, Matous Belohorsky, Simon Bourque and Michael Joly scored in regulation for the Oceanic (10-6-0).

Guillaume Gauthier led Sherbrooke (6-9-3) offensively with two goals and an assist while Vincent Deslauriers and Nicolas Poulin added the others. Evan Fitzpatrick kicked out 27-of-31 shots in defeat.
