QMJHL Roundup: Martins Dzierkals scores twice as Huskies blank Armada

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. - Martins Dzierkals scored twice in the second period and Chase Marchand recorded the shutout as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies blanked the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 3-0 on Wednesday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Bruno-Carl Denis also found the back of the net in the second for the No. 4 ranked Huskies (11-1-3), who haven't had a regulation loss in their last 13 games. Jeremy Lauzon tacked on two assists.

Samuel Montembeault turned away 30 shots in net for Blainville-Boisbriand (6-7-2).

Rouyn-Noranda went 1 for 4 on the power play while the Armada were scoreless on two chances.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Michael Joly scored twice and added an assist as the Oceanic slipped past Drummondville.

Tyler Boland and Simon Bourque had a goal and two assists each for Rimouski (9-3-0). Francois Beauchemin and Alex-Olivier Voyer also scored.

Joe Ratelle chipped in with two goals and an assist for the No. 9 Voltigeurs (10-5-0), who have dropped three straight. Alex Barre-Boulet had a goal and three assists while Michael Carcone had a goal and two assists. Sergei Boikov added the other.
