T.J. Brennan scores winner as Marlies edge Devils 3-2 in overtime

TORONTO - T.J. Brennan scored his first goal of the season in overtime to lead the Toronto Marlies past the Albany Devils 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in American Hockey League action.

Byron Froese forced extra time with a goal late in the third period for the Marlies (3-0-0). William Nylander tied the game 1-1 for the Maple Leafs' affiliate in the first period.

Corey Tropp opened the scoring in the first for Albany (0-1-1) while Mike Sislo scored a power-play goal in the second period.

Antoine Bibeau turned aside 19 shots for the win. Yann Danis stopped 34 shots for the New Jersey Devils' farm club.

Toronto was scoreless on three power-play attempts while the Devils were 1 for 5.
