San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture injured his right foot at practice Thursday at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., the San Jose Mercury News reported.
Couture was seen on crutches and wearing a protective boot on his right foot and ankle. He would not comment on the injury.
General manager Doug Wilson told the newspaper he was waiting for a full evaluation on Couture and should have more details available Friday.
According to CSNBayArea.com, Couture is being evaluated and no official update is expected Thursday.
The Sharks (3-0-0) are scheduled to play the New Jersey Devils (0-0-3) on Friday. Couture's availability for the game is unknown.
Couture, in his seventh season with the Sharks, has one assist and a plus-1 rating in three games.
