DUCLAIR (HAT TRICK) AND SMITH (SHUTOUT) LEAD COYOTES OVER DUCKS

Rookie Anthony Duclair (3-0—3) recorded his first career hat trick and Mike Smith made 37 saves to lift the Arizona Coyotes past the Anaheim Ducks 4-0 for their third win of the season.

* According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Duclair was the first rookie in Coyotes franchise history to record a hat trick since Daniel Carcillo on April 4, 2008 at DAL.

* It was Duclair's first career multigoal game. His first goal was his first career game-winning goal and his second was his first career power-play goal. Duclair has collected at least one point in each of the Coyotes' first three games (3-2—5).

* Smith had his 28th career shutout and improved to 3-0-0 with a 0.67 goals-against average and .981 save percentage, allowing two goals over his three starts.

* Martin Hanzal (0-3—3) tied a career-high in assists and has at least one in each of the Coyotes' three games (0-6—6).

* Rookie Max Domi (1-1—2) scored a highlight-reel backhand goal in the first period.

NEUVIRTH RECORDS SECOND STRAIGHT SHUTOUT WITH FLYERS

Philadelphia Flyers goalie Michal Neuvirth made 30 saves in a 3-0 win against the Chicago Blackhawks and has shutouts in each of his first two starts with the Flyers (31 saves on Oct. 12 vs. FLA). Neuvirth, who signed with Philadelphia on July 1, has nine career shutouts and recorded shutouts in back-to-back starts for the first time his career.

* According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Neuvirth became the second goaltender in Flyers history to earn shutouts in each of his first two starts with the team. The other: Jeff Hackett in 2003 (Oct. 9 vs. BUF and Oct. 16 at SJS).

* Neuvirth has a shutout streak of 132:05 dating to the final 12:05 of the Flyers loss at FLA on Oct. 10 when he entered the contest in relief of Steve Mason.

* The Flyers have won 12 consecutive regular-season home games vs. CHI dating to March 31, 1998 (3-2 W).

SENATORS RALLY PAST COLUMBUS

After overcoming three separate one-goal deficits, the Ottawa Senators scored four more unanswered goals, including the eventual game-winner by Mika Zibanejad (1-2—3), to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets 7-3. Seven different skaters scored for Ottawa.

* Zibanejad's goal was the first game-winner of his career.

* Erik Karlsson (0-4—4) had a career-high four assists. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Karlsson was first Senators defenseman to have four assists in a game since Joe Corvo did so on Oct. 26, 2006 vs. TOR.

* In addition to Zibanejad and Karlsson, Bobby Ryan (1-2—3), Kyle Turris (1-1—2) and Mark Stone (0-2—2) had multiple points. Turris and Stone have each posted three multipoint games in the Senators' first four games of the season.

* The Senators are 6-2-0 in their past eight games vs. CBJ dating to Oct. 22, 2011 (4-3 W), which includes winning four straight games in Columbus dating to Nov. 5, 2013 (4-1 W).

RANDELL NETS GAME-WINNING GOAL IN NHL DEBUT

Six different Boston Bruins found the back of the net in a 6-2 win against the Colorado Avalanche, including forward Tyler Randell scoring the eventual game-winner in his NHL debut, to power the Bruins to their first win of the season.

* Randell, 24, a native of Scarborough, Ontario, spent 2014-15 with the American Hockey League's Providence Bruins and had 11-9—20 in 74 regular-season games.

* Jimmy Hayes (1-3—4) had a career-high four points, his first points as a member of the Bruins (4 GP). Hayes was traded to Boston by the Florida Panthers on July 1.

* Jonas Gustavsson made 20 saves to earn the victory in his first start as a member of the Bruins. Gustavsson signed on Oct. 4.

* The Bruins are 4-0-1 in their past five visits to Colorado dating to Oct. 9, 2008 (5-4 W).

MILESTONES & BENCHMARKS

* Blue Jackets forward Brandon Saad scored his third goal of the season, all of which have come on the man-advantage. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Saad, who made his debut with the Blue Jackets on Oct. 9, is the first player in franchise history to score each of his first three goals in his debut season with the team on the power play. With three power-play goals (4 GP), Saad equaled his single-season career-high from the 2013-14 season w/ CHI (78 GP).

* Philadelphia forward Sam Gagner (2 GP) scored his first goal as a member of the Flyers, which stood as the game-winner. Colorado defenseman Nikita Zadorov (0-1—1) had his first assist/point as a member of the Avalanche (3 GP). Anaheim goaltender Anton Khudobin made his first start as a member of the Ducks.

* Avalanche forward Jarome Iginla skated in the 1,395th game of his career, passing Stan Mikita and moving into a tie with Roman Hamrlik for 35th on the NHL's all-time list.

* Bruins defenseman Colin Miller (0-1—1) had the first assist/point of his NHL career (3 GP). Teammate Tommy Cross made his NHL debut (14:25 TOI).

* Ducks defenseman Kevin Bieksa skated in the 600th game of his NHL career. Flyers forward Claude Giroux scored while skating in the 500th game of his NHL career. Giroux has 3-9—12 in nine regular-season games vs. CHI.

Blue Jackets forward Ryan Johansen (0-2—2) has at least one point in each of their four games (1-4—5). … Bruins forward David Krejci (1-0—1) has at least one point in each of their four games (3-3—6). … Avalanche forwards Gabriel Landeskog (1-0—1) and John Mitchell (1-0—1) have scored in each of their three games (4-2—6 and 3-0—3, respectively). … Coyotes forward Tobias Rieder (0-1—1) has at least one point in each of their three games (2-2—4). … The Ducks honored jockey of the 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharaoh, Victor Espinoza, in a pregame ceremony. … Prior to puck-drop, the Flyers hosted a retirement ceremony for former defenseman Kimmo Timonen, who spent seven seasons with them (38-232—270 in 519 GP) before winning the Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in June.
