Bernier to attend Islanders training camp on PTO
Forward Steve Bernier will attend New York Islanders training camp on a professional tryout offer, the Islanders announced Wednesday.

Forward Steve Bernier was invited to New York Islanders training camp on a professional tryout offer, the Islanders announced Wednesday.

Bernier, 30, tied his NHL high with 16 goals last season with the New Jersey Devils. He had 32 points in 67 games.

Selected by the San Jose Sharks with the 16th pick of the 2003 NHL Draft, Bernier has 104 goals and 224 points in 609 games with the Sharks, Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers and Devils.
