Crosby plays goalie in Penguins' dek hockey game
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby played goalie for their front office's dek hockey team on Tuesday.

Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby played goalie for the Penguins' front office dek hockey team Tuesday and helped Team Iceland to a 4-3 shootout victory at Cranberry Dek Hockey in Cranberry, Pa.

About 50 friends and family attended the game. Crosby shared coaching tips and got the win, although it's not known how many saves he made.

Crosby, a two-time Art Ross Trophy winner who helped Pittsburgh win the Stanley Cup in 2009, was aided by former Penguins teammate Colby Armstrong, who scored a goal.

"Getting to share the experience of playing with Sid was pretty special," Penguins employee Justin Mellor told their website. "It's something we will be talking about for a long time. This morning in the office, there's been multiple conversations along the lines of, 'I can't believe that happened last night.' We're all grateful that he took time out of his offseason routine to come and play.

"It's one of those stories you can tell your kids and grandkids years down the road, saying: 'Hey, I laced them up with Sidney Crosby once.'"

Crosby also played goalie in 2012 in a ball league game; he said he had a shutout but didn't face a shot.
