BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Sabres have signed newly drafted defenceman Brendan Guhle to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The deal was announced Monday, a little over a month after Buffalo drafted Guhle with the 51st pick. Guhle turns 18 on Wednesday and spent the past two seasons with the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League.
He is eligible to return to play in the juniors next season.
Last year, he had five goals and ranked third among team defencemen with 32 points in 72 games. Overall, he has five goals and 37 points in 123 career junior games.
