Rangers agree to terms with forwards Miller, Fast
The New York Rangers agreed to terms with restricted free agent forwards J.T. Miller and Jesper Fast on Wednesday. Financial terms were not released.

The New York Rangers agreed to terms with restricted free agent forwards J.T. Miller and Jesper Fast on Wednesday.

Fast will have a two-year, $1.9 million contract ($950,000 average annual value), and Miller a one-year, $874,000 contract, according to the New York Daily News.

Miller, 22, had 10 goals and 13 assists in 58 games last season. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward had one goal and seven assists in 19 Stanley Cup Playoff games. He was New York's first-round pick (No. 15) in 2011.

Fast, 23, had six goals and eight assists in 58 games last season. From the time Fast was recalled from Hartford of the American Hockey League on Nov. 10 until the end of the regular season, the Rangers earned at least one point in 42 of 55 games in which he played (39-13-3).

Fast was the Rangers' sixth-round pick (No. 157) at the 2010 NHL Draft. He has six goals and eight assists in 69 regular-season games and three goals and four assists in 22 playoff games.
