The New Jersey Devils signed defenseman John Moore to a three-year, $5 million contract on Wednesday.
Moore, 24, had two goals and 11 points in 57 games with the New York Rangers and Arizona Coyotes in 2014-15.
A first-round pick (No. 21) of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2009 NHL Draft, Moore has nine goals and 40 points in 230 games.
Moore was traded, along with forward Anthony Duclair, and two draft picks by the Rangers to the Coyotes for defensemen Keith Yandle and Chris Summers and two draft picks prior to the 2015 NHL Trade Deadline.
The Devils also signed forward Blake Coleman to a two-year, entry-level contract.
Coleman, 23, spent the past four seasons at Miami University of Ohio (NCHC). He had a career-high 20 goals and 37 points in 37 games, led the team with 99 penalty minutes, and was second with a plus-16 rating as an alternate captain.
He was a third-round pick (No. 75) by the Devils in the 2011 draft.
