Sharks trade Abeltshauser to Blues for draft pick
The San Jose Sharks on Monday traded defenseman Konrad Abeltshauser to the St. Louis Blues for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft

The San Jose Sharks traded defenseman Konrad Abeltshauser, 22, to the St. Louis Blues on Monday for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound defender had three goals and 19 points in 50 games with the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League. He also had five goals and seven points in six games with the Allen Americans of the ECHL, and 16 points in 25 playoff games to help Allen win the ECHL championship.

Abeltshauser, a native of Bad Tolz, Germany, was selected by the Sharks in the sixth round (No. 163) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
