Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed goaltender Jack Campbell to a one-year contract extension. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Campbell, 23, posted a 14-14-5 record with a 3.03 goals against average, a .907 save percentage and two shutouts in 35 regular-season games this season for the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League. He also appeared in one playoff contest and posted a 3.03 goals against average and a .889 save percentage. Additionally, he played seven games for Idaho of the ECHL and went 5-2-0-0 with a .945 save percentage and a 1.73 goals against average.
Following the season, Campbell represented the United States of America at the IIHF World Championships in Prague, Czech Republic. Helping the USA to a Bronze Medal, he appeared in two games posting a 1-1 record.
