Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop was pulled after allowing three goals to the Montreal Canadiens in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Second Round at Amalie Arena on Thursday.
Bishop was replaced by Andrei Vasilevskiy, who made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut.
Facing elimination in the best-of-7 series, Montreal took a 3-0 lead 5:08 into the second period and won 6-2.
Andrei Markov and Max Pacioretty (shorthanded) scored in the first period, and David Desharnais in the second.
Bishop made 11 saves, one night after making 30 in a 2-1 win that put the Lightning one victory from reaching the Eastern Conference Final.
He had allowed six goals in the previous five games. Bishop, who started back-to-back games once during the regular season, had won eight straight games against the Canadiens, including the first three of this series.
