JOHNSON, LIGHTNING STAGE LATE RALLY TO EVEN SERIES

Down two goals with less than six minutes left in the third period, Tyler Johnson sparked a Tampa Bay Lightning rally with 2-1—3, including the primary assist on the tying goal with 4:09 remaining and the game-winning goal at 2:25 of overtime, to help them defeat the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 and even their series.

* Via the Elias Sports Bureau, the Lightning won a Stanley Cup Playoff game in which they trailed by two or more goals in the final six minutes of regulation for the first time in franchise history.

* It was the first time they won a game, regular season or playoffs, in which they trailed by two or more goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation since Dec. 17, 2013 at NYI.

* According to Elias, the last Lightning player to record at least three points and factor on each of their goals in a postseason overtime win was Brad Richards on June 5, 2004 vs. CGY (2-1—3, 3-2 2OT W in Game 6 of SCF).

* Johnson had his second career multipoint game in the postseason, following 2-0—2 in Tampa Bay's Game 2 victory on Saturday. Elias says he is the first Lightning player to register more than one multigoal game in the same playoff series since the 2011 Eastern Conference Final vs. BOS (Teddy Purcell).

* The overtime winner was the first playoff game-winning goal of Johnson's career. Including the regular season, each of his last three GWG have been overtime winners (his only other OT goals) -- March 10 at MTL (1-0 W) and April 9 vs. NJD (4-3 W).

* Overall, Johnson shared the team lead (w/ Steven Stamkos) with six game-winning goals in 2014-15. He has had at least three points in a game eight other times in his career (181 GP – regular season and playoffs), including six such instances this season.

* Elias says the 2014 playoffs also featured a game in which a team trailed by at least two goals in the final six minutes and won: Game 6 of the Anaheim Ducks first-round series against the Dallas Stars on April 27. In that game, the Ducks scored at 17:50 and 19:36 of the third period to force overtime, where Nick Bonino scored the series-clinching goal at 2:47 of OT.

* The Lightning have won four of their past seven visits to Joe Louis Arena dating to Nov. 9, 2013 (regular season and playoffs). Tampa Bay posted one win in its first 15 all-time trips to Detroit (1-13-1).

* The Lightning improved to 7-3 in 10 all-time playoff overtime games on the road (9-7 overall in OT). The road team has won six of nine overtime games thus far in the 2015 playoffs (35 GP).

FORSBERG'S HAT TRICK HELPS PREDATORS FORCE GAME 6

Filip Forsberg had the first playoff hat trick in Nashville Predators history to help them defeat the Chicago Blackhawks 5-2 and stave off elimination, forcing Game 6 back in Chicago.

* The Predators forced a Game 6 when trailing 3-1 in a best-of-7 series for the second time in franchise history (in five all-time scenarios). The only other time they did so was in the 2011 Western Conference Semifinals vs. VAN, when they won Game 5 (4-3 W) before ultimately being eliminated in six games.

* Forsberg is the second Predators player to record a hat trick in 2014-15 (regular season and playoffs), following James Neal on Oct. 23 vs. CHI (3-0—3). Via Elias, Forsberg is the third player in the last four postseasons to score a hat trick before his 21st birthday (Jean-Gabriel Pageau: May 5, 2013 vs. MTL w/ OTT; Sean Couturier: April 13, 2012 vs. PIT w/ PHI).

* Forsberg led the Predators and finished third in rookie scoring with 26-37—63 during the 2014-15 regular season, establishing franchise rookie records in all three categories. His only other multigoal game in the NHL was on Nov. 2 at VAN (2-1—3).

* Tied 1-1 after 40 minutes, Neal (1-1—2), Colin Wilson and Forsberg each scored in the opening 3:14 of the third period to put the Predators ahead.

* The goals by Wilson and Forsberg were scored 12 seconds apart. Elias says that is the third-fastest pair of goals in franchise postseason history. The two other instances were established in consecutive games during the 2008 Western Conference Quarterfinals vs. DET (Game 3: 0:09 – Ryan Suter and Jason Arnott; Game 2: 0:11 – Alexander Radulov and Jordin Tootoo).

* Wilson scored his fifth goal of the series, establishing a new franchise record. He had one goal in 11 postseason games prior to 2015 and one goal in his final 22 games of the 2014-15 regular season.

* Pekka Rinne made 28 saves to earn his 15th career playoff victory. He also improved to 27-9-4 with a 2.14 goals-against average and .920 save percentage in 40 GP at Bridgestone Arena in 2014-15 (regular season and playoffs).

CANUCKS LIVE TO PLAY ANOTHER DAY

The Vancouver Canucks fell behind less than three minutes after the opening faceoff, but Nick Bonino tied the game in the second period and Daniel Sedin scored the go-ahead goal at 1:47 of the third to help them defeat the Calgary Flames 2-1 and extend the series.

* The Canucks forced a Game 6 when trailing 3-1 in a best-of-7 series for the seventh time in franchise history (in 10 all-time scenarios). They have gone on to win three of those previous instances: 1992 DSF vs. WPG, 1994 CQF vs. CGY and 2003 CQF vs. STL.

* In 1994, Vancouver trailed Calgary 3-1 in the series before posting three straight overtime victories, with Geoff Courtnall, Trevor Linden and Pavel Bure providing the game-winning goals, en route to a trip to the Stanley Cup Final.

* Sedin scored his sixth career playoff game-winning goal, tying Courtnall for second place on the franchise's all-time list. Cliff Ronning holds the top spot with seven GWG.

* Sedin has 25-45—70 in 101 postseason games. His 25 goals are one behind Courtnall for third place on Vancouver's all-time playoffs list.

* Bonino scored his first postseason goal in a Canucks uniform. He had 7-5—12 in 24 playoff games with the Ducks from 2010 to 2014.

* Making his first start of the 2015 playoffs, Ryan Miller made 20 saves to earn his first playoff win with the Canucks. He is 28-26 in 55 postseason games with a 2.44 GAA and .916 save percentage.

KUZNETSOV, CAPITALS TAKE CHARGE WITH 3-2 SERIES LEAD

The Washington Capitals scored five unanswered goals, powered by 2-1—3 from Evgeny Kuznetsov, to defeat the New York Islanders 5-1 and take a 3-2 series lead.

* Kuznetsov, who was mic'd up for his tying goal midway through the first period, had his first three playoff points (5 GP). Elias says the only other Capitals player to record each of his first three postseason points in the same game was Sergei Gonchar (May 6, 1995: 2-1—3 at PIT).

* Kuznetsov also joined Gonchar and Marcus Johansson (April 20, 2011 vs. NYR) as the only Capitals rookies to score their first two career playoff goals in the same game. Kuznetsov had 11-26—37 during the 2014-15 regular season (80 GP), including 5-7—13 in his final 17 GP.

* Karl Alzner (1-1—2) had his first career multipoint playoff game and game-winning goal (36 GP); he had one GWG in the regular season (427 GP). Overall, Alzner has 2-1—3 in the 2015 playoffs, compared to 1-4—5 in his first 31 postseason games.

* Jason Chimera (1-1—2), Jay Beagle (0-2—2) and Johansson (0-2—2) had multiple points for the Capitals, while Brooks Laich scored the other goal.

* Braden Holtby made 22 saves to post his 12th postseason victory (2-2-0 in 2015). He improved to 9-1-2 with a 2.06 GAA and a .936 save percentage in 14 games vs. NYI (regular season and playoffs).

* When teams are tied 2-2 in a best-of-7 playoff series, Elias says the winner of Game 5 holds an all-time series record of 185-50 (78.7 percent).

NHL ANNOUNCES CALDER FINALISTS

Defenseman Aaron Ekblad of the Florida Panthers and forwards Johnny Gaudreau of the Calgary Flames and Mark Stone of the Ottawa Senators are the three finalists for the 2014-15 Calder Memorial Trophy, awarded "to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition," the NHL announced Thursday.

Members of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association submitted ballots for the Calder Trophy at the conclusion of the regular season, with the top three vote-getters designated as finalists. The winner will be announced Wednesday, June 24, during the 2015 NHL Awards from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
