DUCKS MOUNT ANOTHER THIRD-PERIOD COMEBACK

Trailing by one goal after 40 minutes for the second straight game, the Anaheim Ducks scored twice in the final 10 minutes of the third period – including forward Jakob Silfverberg's game-winning goal with 21 seconds left on the clock – to take a 2-0 series lead over the Winnipeg Jets.

* The Ducks faced a 2-1 deficit after two periods in Game 1, but scored three unanswered goals to pull ahead in the series. The Elias Sports Bureau said this is the first time in NHL history that a team has held a 2-0 series leads when trailing at the start of the third period in each of the first two games.

* During the regular season, Anaheim set an NHL record for wins when trailing at any point in the third period (18). The Ducks also matched a League record with 12 victories when trailing after two periods (12-23-0).

* Elias also said Silfverberg's goal was the latest go-ahead goal in regulation in Ducks playoff history. Defenseman Sandis Ozolinsh held the previous record scoring with 1:06 remaining in the third period of the team's series-clinching 4-3 win vs. DAL on May 5, 2003.

* It also was the latest tiebreaking goal in the third period of a playoff game by any team since June 1, 2011, when forward Raffi Torres scored at 19:41 of the final period to lift the Vancouver Canucks to a 1-0 victory in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final vs. BOS.

* Silfverberg set career highs for goals (13), assists (26) and points (39) during the regular season. Forward Patrick Maroon scored the tying goal at 10:43 of the third period; he has 3-6—9 in 15 career playoff games.

Of the 16 games played thus far in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, half have involved a team overcome a deficit of at least one goal to win.

* Multi-goal comeback

* Two of those game have featured a game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation – Game 2 of WPG-ANA on Saturday and Game 1 of CGY-VAN when Flames defenseman Kris Russell scored with 29.6 seconds left on the clock.

* Elias said there was only one game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation in last year's postseason – forward Max Pacioretty scored the series-clinching goal at 19:17 of the third period in Game 4 of Montreal's First Round series vs. TBL on April 22, 2014.

CROSBY, KUNITZ HELP PENS PULL EVEN WITH RANGERS

Forward Sidney Crosby scored twice and forward Chris Kunitz (1-2—3) scored the eventual game-winning goal midway through the third period to help the Pittsburgh Penguins even their season with the New York Rangers.

* Crosby registered his eighth career multi-goal game in the postseason and first since May 17, 2013, when he recorded 3-0—3 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals vs. OTT (4-3 W).

* Prior to Game 2, Crosby had one goal in his previous 19 playoff games – the decisive goal in Game 3 of last year's Second Round series with the Rangers. Overall, he ranks third in franchise history with 43-73—116 in 97 career playoff games.

* Kunitz matched a career high for points in a playoff game and also scored his second career game-winning goal in the postseason. He last achieved both feats on May 5, 2013 at NYI when he recorded 2-1—3, including the overtime winner, in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference First Round series against the New York Islanders.

* Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury made 23 saves to snap a four-game playoff losing streak – all vs. NYR – and improve to 53-41 in 95 career postseason games.

* His 53 career playoff victories lead all active goaltenders and place him three back of Tom Barrasso (56) for first place in franchise history. He also tied Gerry Cheevers for 16th place on the NHL's all-time playoff wins list.

* Brandon Sutter (1-1—2) picked up his first career mutli-point game in the postseason, including the tying goal midway through the second period.

TARASENKO'S HAT TRICK POWERS BLUES IN GAME 2

Forward Vladimir Tarasenko sparked the St. Louis Blues to an early 2-0 lead and completed his first career postseason hat trick in the third period to help St. Louis even its series with the Minnesota Wild.

* Tarasenko led the Blues with five multi-goal games in the regular season, including hat tricks on Oct. 28 (at DAL) and Dec. 16 (vs. LAK). It was his second career multi-goal game in the postseason (also April 23, 2014: 2-0—2 at CHI).

* Tarasenko is the first Blues player to record a hat trick in the playoffs since April 12, 2004 (Mike Sillinger: 3-0—3 vs. SJS, 4-1 W).

* Goalie Jake Allen made 24 saves to earn his first postseason victory (3 GP). Allen is the first Blues rookie goaltender to win a playoff game since April 14, 1990 (Curtis Joseph: 16 SV, 4-3 W vs. TOR). He led all rookie goaltenders and established a Blues rookie record with 22 wins in 2014-15.

* Overall, Allen has allowed two goals or fewer in each of his last 10 games dating back to March 15 at DAL (6-2-1 in that span).

* ICYMI: A pair of goal line stops helped the Blues win Game 2 – first a desperation stick save by Allen after a wacky bounce, then captain David Backes played the hero in the third period.

* Forward Patrik Berglund added the other Blues goal, and defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk recorded his second straight two-assist game. Shattenkirk is the first Blues defenseman to record multiple points in consecutive postseason games since Al MacInnis in the opening round of the 1999 Stanley Cup Playoffs vs. PHX.

* Forward Alexander Steen also added two helpers; he has 1-4—5 in his last three games – all vs. MIN (includes regular season) – since returning from a six-game absence.

JOHNSON HELPS LIGHTNING EVEN SERIES

The Tampa Bay Lightning opened a 4-0 lead through two periods, highlighted by two goals from Tyler Johnson, and left with a Game 2 victory to even their series with the Detroit Red Wings.

* Johnson entered with one goal in his first five career postseason games. He set a career high in the regular season with 29 goals, including seven multi-goal efforts. He has 2-2—4 in nine career regular season contests vs. DET.

* Goalie Ben Bishop made 23 saves to record his first career postseason victory (2 GP). He has a 7-2-0 record, 1.68 goals-against average and .936 save percentage in 10 career regular season games against the Red Wings.

* Bishop improved to 28-7-1 at Amalie Arena in the 2014-15 (regular season and playoffs), with a 2.14 goals-against average and .932 save percentage in those game. Overall, the Lightning led the NHL and set a franchise record with 32 home wins during the regular season.

* Forward Valtteri Filppula (1-1—2), who played the first eight seasons of his NHL career with the Red Wings and helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2008, scored his first goal in the postseason since May 18, 2013 (w/ DET at CHI).

* Forward Alex Killorn (GWG) and defenseman Andrej Sustr added the other Lightning goals. Sustr scored in his fifth career postseason game; he has one goal in 117 career regular season games.

* Defenseman Nikita Nesterov (0-2—2) has points in each of his last five games (2-4—6) dating back to April 4 at FLA; he had 1-3—4 in his first 24 career games.

* Captain Steven Stamkos also added two assists for the Lightning, who scored at least five goals in a playoff game for the first time since May 25, 2011 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final vs. BOS (5-4 W).

AFTER TWO GAMES

Six of the eight First Round series are tied 1-1. According to Elias, the last time there were six series tied after two games was 2012. In 2014, three First Round matchups were tied after two games, with the winner of Game 3 going on to win each series.

* When teams are tied 1-1 in a best-of-seven Stanley Cup Playoffs series, Elias said that the winner of Game 3 holds an all-time series record of 189-92 (67.3%).

* Via Elias, teams that go up 2-0 in a best-of-seven Stanley Cup Playoffs series hold an all-time series record of 293-48 (85.9%).

OILERS WIN DRAFT LOTTERY, EARN FIRST SELECTION IN 2015 NHL DRAFT

The Edmonton Oilers won the 2015 NHL Draft Lottery on Saturday and earned the first overall pick of the 2015 NHL Draft. This will be the fourth time the Oilers have selected first overall, after drafting forwards Taylor Hall (2010), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (2011) and Nail Yakupov (2012) in consecutive years.

The order of selection for the first 14 drafting positions in the First Round, only, of the 2015 NHL Draft is as follows:

Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec made 37 saves to tie the most by a Jets/Atlanta Thrashers goaltender in the postseason (Johan Hedberg: April 14, 2007 vs. NYR, 2-1 L) . . . Jets defenseman Adam Pardy, a sixth-round selection (173rd overall) by the Flames in the 2004 NHL Draft, snapped a 172 game goal drought with his first goal since Jan. 26, 2011 w/ CGY . . . The 31-year-old defenseman, who appeared in six playoff games with the Flames in 2009, has 4-44—48 in 315 regular season games and 1-2—3 in seven postseason games . . . Jets forward Mathieu Perreault, who had 20-28—48 in 80 GP with the Ducks last season, had the primary assist on Pardy's goal . . . Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf picked up one assist; he has 5-14—19 in his last 14 playoff games . . . Rangers forward Derick Brassard, who opened the scoring 28 seconds into Game 1, also scored on Saturday. He has 6-1—7 in nine career playoff games vs. PIT . . . Forwards Derek Stepan (1-1—2) and Rick Nash also scored for New York . . . Nash has 5-4—9 in six games against the Penguins in 2014-15 – including 1-1—2 in the playoffs – after having 0-1—1 in their seven-game playoff series in 2014 . . . Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist appeared in his 94th career playoff game, passing Walt Tkaczuk for first place in franchise history (among skaters and goaltenders) . . .
