OHL Roundup: Generals down IceDogs 7-4 in Game 4, lead second-round series 3-1

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Michael Dal Colle had two goals and three assists and Michael McCarron added two goals and two helpers as the Oshawa Generals downed the host Niagara IceDogs 7-4 on Wednesday in Game 4 Ontario Hockey Legaue playoff action.

Hunter Smith scored once and set up two more for Oshawa, which leads the best-of-seven second-round matchup 3-1.

Cole Cassel and Tobias Lindberg also struck for the Generals, who got a 30-save outing from Ken Appleby.

Carter Verhaeghe led the IceDogs with a pair of goals while Jordan Maletta and Mikkel Aagaard added the others.

Niagara's Brandon Hope stopped 19-of-26 shots in defeat.

Oshawa went 1 for 3 on the power play as the IceDogs converted once on seven chances with the man advantage.

The Generals can take the series when they host Game 5 on Friday.

BATTALION 4 COLTS 3 (2OT)

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Ryan Kujawinksi scored 3:49 into th second overtime as the Battalion edged Barrie in Game 4 to go up 3-1 in their second-round playoff series.

Nick Moutrey had a goal and two assists for North Bay, which also got goals from Mike Amadio and Marcus McIvor. Jame Smith made 16 saves for the win.

Roy Radke scored twice for the Colts while Rasmus Andersson added the other. Mackenzie Blackwood kicked out 45-of-49 shots in a losing cause.

Barrie will try and avoid elimination when it hosts Game 5 on Saturday.
