MacDonald stops 26 shots as Bulldogs double up Americans 4-2

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Joey MacDonald made 26 saves as the Hamilton Bulldogs doubled up the host Rochester Americans 4-2 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Daniel Carr, Jake Dowell, Christian Thomas and Eric Tangradi supplied the offence for the Bulldogs (30-23-9).

Kevin Sundher and Mikhail Grigorenko scored for the Americans (25-30-6), who entered the game 3-0-2 in their past five outings.

Rochester's Andrey Makarov stopped 28-of-31 shots in defeat.

Americans defenceman Matt Pelech was assessed a five-minute major and game misconduct for boarding at 8:48 of the third period.

Hamilton went 2 for 3 on the power play while Rochester failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.
