John Albert scores winner in overtime as AHL IceCaps edge Devils 2-1

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - John Albert scored 1:42 into overtime to lift the St. John's IceCaps to a 2-1 victory over the Albany Devils in American Hockey League action on Friday.

Chase Balisy scored a power-play goal in regulation for St. John's (28-24-8).

Stefan Matteau replied for the Devils (25-23-10) tying the game at 1:29 of the third period.

IceCaps goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves while Albany counterpart Scott Clemmensen stopped 20 shots in a losing effort.

St. John's was 1 for 1 on the power play while the Devils had zero chances with the man advantage.
