Boston Bruins forward David Krejci will not play Sunday against the Chicago Blackhawks (3:30 pm ET; NBC) after leaving the game Friday with an undisclosed injury.
"We won't know the severity of his injury until we get back home," coach Claude Julien said Saturday.
The Bruins end their five-game road trip Sunday.
Krejci was injured Friday in the second period against the St. Louis Blues in a collision with Blues forward Alex Steen.
Krejci missed time earlier this season with an undisclosed injury that kept him out of the lineup more than once. Julien said this injury is different than that one.
Sunday will be Krejci's 21st missed game.
On Saturday, Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli announced defenseman Kevan Miller will have season-ending shoulder surgery. Miller dislocated his shoulder against the Calgary Flames on Monday, his second time injuring that shoulder this season. A previous injury kept Miller out for a month.
The Bruins recalled forward Ryan Spooner from Providence of the American Hockey League on Saturday. Spooner did not practice with the Bruins on Saturday but will play Sunday, Julien said.
