2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series fan experience extended through Levi's Stadium app
2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ fan experience extended through Levi's® Stadium app giving more than 70,000 hockey fans a new and enhanced game day experience.

NEW YORK – To enhance the fan experience at the 2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ outdoor game between the host San Jose Sharks and the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Levi's® Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., the National Hockey League, in conjunction with Levi's® Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers, and VenueNext, has taken over the world-class, high-tech stadium's Official App.

The Levi® Stadium App - now available for download for iPhones via the App Store and for Android smartphones via Google Play – is designed to be the ultimate game day concierge for the 2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™. This Official App will give NHL fans an instant VIP experience and offer convenient, single-source access to everything they need for the much-anticipated outdoor hockey game. The special version of the Levi's® Stadium App includes functionality for mobile parking passes, food and beverage ordering for in-seat delivery or express pick-up, in-seat merchandise ordering, live event and multiple angle instant replay feeds, turn by turn directions in venue, and much more. One standard function of the Levi's® Stadium App that won't be functional for the Coors Light NHL Stadium Series is mobile ticketing.

The League's "takeover" of the pioneering Levi's® Stadium App marks the most extensive customization of the digital platform to-date, and the first time that the NHL is providing fans with a fully digital in-game experience for an NHL® event, including a live replay and live streaming feature with on-demand, clip-by-clip replay and highlights of the 2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ game.

Through the app, fans and visitors can:

• Buy parking passes and access their lots, then be guided to their seats with turn-by-turn directions

• Order food, drinks and official 2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ merchandise to be delivered directly to their seats within minutes, and track delivery progress from their phones

• Use Express Pickup to order food and drinks in advance from most stands in the stadium, and then pick it up on the way to their seats

• Skip lines and use the "Around Me" feature to see the wait times for the bathrooms, family rooms and concession stands closest to their location, and explore the stadium's top spots

• Stream the game live from anywhere inside the stadium, watch video highlights, and tune into all the action around the League

• Tap into LiveSafe to get direct and discreet two-way communication with stadium safety officials using text, picture, video, and audio

• Have their friends and family virtually walk them safely home, to their car or public transit option with SafeWalk

It also marks the first time an app will play a direct role in any NHL in-game entertainment program, which will include a live, crowd-generated light show. The immersive, smart-phone driven experience is run through the Levi's® Stadium App and powered by technology from Baltimore-based startup Wham City Lights.

During the pre-game show and first intermission, fans will be asked to take out their mobile devices and activate a special section of the App that will listen to Ultrasonic Wham Wave signals (inaudible to the human ear). This "silent soundtrack" will link up fans' phones and blanket the stadium with a synchronized, multi-colored visualization of the live musical entertainment on the field.
