ATLANTIC DIVISION'S BEST WIN BIG

The top four teams in the Atlantic Division: Tampa Bay Lightning (32-15-4, 68 points), Montreal Canadiens (32-13-3, 67 points), Detroit Red Wings (29-12-9, 67 points) and Boston Bruins (27-16-7, 61 points) all defeated non-divisional opponents on Saturday to keep pace in the race for the division lead. They also represent four of the top six teams in the Eastern Conference, including the top three.

LIGHTNING CONTINUE HOME DOMINANCE

The Tampa Bay Lightning won a franchise best 10th consecutive home game with a 3-1 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Lightning have not lost on home ice since Dec. 9 vs. the Washington Capitals, and their 21 home wins lead the League.

*The Lightning received key contributions from two of their rookies. Cedric Paquette's 10th goal of the season stood up as the game-winner. He has five goals in his last three games, including a hat trick on Jan. 29 vs. Detroit. Jonathan Drouin assisted on Paquette's goal to extend his assist/point streak to three games (0-4—4).

*Goaltender Ben Bishop made 34 saves to push his record to 26-8-2 with a 2.32 goals-against average, a .915 save percentage and one shutout.

PRICE BACKSTOPS CANADIENS TO FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN

Carey Price made 36 saves to record his fourth shutout of the season and Max Pacioretty scored the lone goal with 1:52 remaining in overtime to lead the Canadiens to their fifth straight win.

*Price recorded his second shutout in as many games, both 1-0 victories, after making 24 saves to blank the New York Rangers on Jan. 29. Pacioretty also scored the lone goal in that victory. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last time a team had back-to-back 1-0 wins with the same goaltender recording the shutout and same player scoring the lone goal in both games was when Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Harry Lumley and forward Sid Smith did so in back-to-back 1-0 wins against Detroit on Nov. 11 and Nov. 13, 1954.

*The shutout was the 29th of Price's career, tying Patrick Roy for fifth in Canadiens franchise history behind George Hainsworth (75), Jacques Plante (58), Ken Dryden (46) and Bill Durnan (34).

*Pacioretty's overtime goal was his team-leading 23rd goal of the season. He leads the Canadiens in goals, points (40), plus/minus (plus-24) and game-winning goals (5; tied).

*P.K. Subban assisted on the overtime winner to earn his 200th career NHL point (53-147—200) in his 332nd game.

RED WINGS KEEP PACE WITH WIN OVER ISLANDERS

The Red Wings received goals from four different scorers (Tomas Tatar, Brendan Smith, Jonathan Ericsson and Gustav Nyquist) and 10 players recorded a point in their 4-1 win against the New York Islanders.

*Tatar opened the scoring with his team-leading 22nd goal of the season and Nyquist scored his 20th. It is the second consecutive season Nyquist has reached the 20-goal mark; he had 28 in 57 games during the 2013-14 season.

*Pavel Datsyuk (0-1—1) recorded his 554th career assist, tying Sergei Fedorov for fifth most assists in Red Wings franchise history.

*Petr Mrazek made 22 saves to earn his third win in his past four appearances. Mrazek improved to 11-4-1 this season with a 2.66 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage.

RASK OUTDUELS QUICK IN BRUINS WIN OVER KINGS

Tuukka Rask made 30 saves to outduel Jonathan Quick (30 saves) in a 3-1 win by the Bruins against the Los Angeles Kings. Brad Marchand scored two goals, including an empty-netter, and Chris Kelly deflected home the game-winner with 5:27 remaining in regulation.

*Rask improved to 22-11-7 with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. He is 7-1-2 in his past 10 games.

*The Bruins have points in 13 of their last 14 games (9-1-4) and have 61 points on the season to hold the first wild-card position in the Eastern Conference by one point over the Washington Capitals (25-14-10, 60 points).

LUNDQVIST BACKSTOPS RANGERS TO VICTORY

Henrik Lundqvist remained in the game after taking a puck to the throat in the second period and hung on to make 31 saves in the New York Rangers 4-1 win against the Carolina Hurricanes. Dominic Moore scored a highlight-reel shorthanded goal in the first period, which stood as the game-winner. The Rangers swept their four-game series against the Hurricanes this season.

*Lundqvist has made at least 30 saves in five of his last six appearances while allowing two goals or less in 15 of his last 18 starts. He improved to 7-0-0 with a GAA of 0.97 and a .967 save percentage in his past seven home games against the Hurricanes. He has 24 wins this season and 333 in his career, tying Nikolai Khabibulin for 20th on the NHL's all-time list.

*Rick Nash opened the scoring with his 29th goal of the season, tying Alex Ovechkin for first in the League.

*Mats Zuccarello had an assist to extend his assist/point streak against the Hurricanes to eight games (0-10—10).

FLAMES RALLY TO TAKE BATTLE OF ALBERTA

Down 2-0 at the start of the third period, the Calgary Flames scored four consecutive goals to earn a 4-2 victory over the rival Edmonton Oilers. The Flames improved to 27-20-3 (57 points) and hold a three-point lead over the Los Angeles Kings (21-16-12, 54 points) for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

*According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last time the Flames overcame a two-goal, third period deficit to win in regulation was a 4-3 victory against the Islanders on March 7, 2014.

*The Flames have won six in a row against the Oilers, outscoring their Alberta rivals by a 27-10 margin.

*The Flames received multi-point efforts from Lance Bouma (2-0—2, first career multi-goal game), Mikael Backlund (0-2—2) and David Jones (0-2—2).

AROUND THE RINKS

*The Ottawa Senators offense got goals from seven different scorers, including four in a span of 5:26, in a 7-2 win against the visiting Arizona Coyotes. Six Ottawa players recorded multiple-point games: Marc Methot (0-3—3, career high for assists/points in a game), Bobby Ryan (1-1—2, third consecutive multi-point game), David Legwand (0-2—2), Mark Stone (1-1—2), Erik Karlsson (1-1—2) and Mika Zibanejad (1-1—2).

*The Dallas Stars scored a season-high four power-play goals en route to a 5-2 road win against the Winnipeg Jets. Defenseman John Klingberg led the way with four points (2-2—4). According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Klingberg is the first rookie defenseman in franchise history to have a four-point game. Tyler Seguin had three assists, pushing him to 56 points this season (28-28—56), tying him with Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane (25-31—56) for second place in the NHL.

*Rookie Melker Karlsson's first-period goal held up as the game-winner, and he added an assist on Joe Thornton's empty-netter to lead the San Jose Sharks to a 2-0 win against the visiting Blackhawks. Antti Niemi made 31 saves to record his fourth shutout of the season, and 31st of his career.

*Jaromir Jagr (0-1—1) and Mike Cammalleri (1-1—2) scored in the first period and Steve Bernier (1-1—2) pitched in with a multiple-point game to lead the New Jersey Devils to a 3-1 win against the Florida Panthers. Keith Kinkaid made 26 saves, giving up the lone Panthers goal to Brandon Pirri with just 1:29 remaining in regulation. The Devils have earned points in a season-high four consecutive games (3-0-1) and in eight of their past 10 overall (6-2-2).

*Michael Del Zotto scored the Philadelphia Flyers' lone goal in a 1-0 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs, extending his career-high point streak to six games (3-4—7). In his 100th game as a Flyer, goaltender Steve Mason made 30 saves to record earn 25th career shutout and second this season. The Flyers have won four straight games.

Saturday's Coyotes/Senators game featured two sets of brothers opposing one another in an NHL game for the first time in more than 30 years when Ottawa's Milan Michalek and Mark Stone faced brothers Zbynek Michalek and Michael Stone of Arizona. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last time two unrelated sets of two brothers faced off against each other in the same game was on Dec. 23, 1983, when Wayne Babych and Joe Mullen of the St. Louis Blues faced brothers Dave Babych and Brian Mullen of the Winnipeg Jets.

Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby made 29 saves in a 1-0 overtime loss to the Canadiens, ending his shutout streak at 137:48 after a 4-0 shutout win in his previous game against Penguins on Jan. 28. … Senators defenseman Chris Phillips skated in his 1,178th game with the club, tying Daniel Alfredsson for most games played in franchise history. … Jets forward Andrew Ladd (1-1—2) reached 400 career NHL points (179-221—400). ….
