Glendening, Weiss lead Red Wings past Panthers 5-4 for 6th straight victory

SUNRISE, Fla. - Luke Glendening scored twice and Stephen Weiss had a goal and two assists against his former team to lift the Detroit Red Wings over the Florida Panthers 5-4 on Tuesday night for their sixth straight victory.

Henrik Zetterberg and Drew Miller also scored for Detroit, and Petr Mrazek made 37 saves in his eighth consecutive start.

The Red Wings have won eight of nine. They beat the Panthers for the first time in three games this season.

Florida has lost five straight games, including four in a row at home.

Brad Boyes, Nick Bjugstad, Brandon Pirri and Aleksander Barkov scored for the Panthers. Barkov also had a pair of assists.

Robert Luongo stopped 12 of 17 shots and was replaced by Al Montoya with 7:37 left in the second period. Montoya made 10 saves.
