Atlantic Hockey Conference suspends Army's Tyler Pham for 1 game for slew footing

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Freshman forward Tyler Pham of the Army Black Knights has been suspended for one game for slew footing.

Atlantic Hockey Commissioner Robert DeGregorio announced the suspension on Wednesday.

Slew footing occurs when a player sweeps or kicks out an opposing player's skate or trips from behind, causing the player to fall backward.

Pham was assessed a five-minute major and game misconduct during Army's road game at archrival Air Force on Saturday. The Falcons won the game 3-1.

Pham, Army's leading scorer and one of the top freshman scorers in the nation, will be ineligible for Army's next NCAA contest against Princeton on Tuesday.
