Reto Berra of the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday became the 11th goaltender in American Hockey League history to score a goal.
The Colorado Avalanche prospect scored into an empty net in a 5-1 win against the Chicago Wolves at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.
With Chicago goaltender Matt Climie on the bench for an extra attacker, Berra shot the puck the length of the ice into the vacated net to give Lake Erie a 4-1 lead at 18:34 of the third period.
Berra is the seventh AHL goalie to shoot the puck into the opposition's net.
Berra was making his Monsters debut after joining them on a conditioning assignment from the Avalanche earlier this week. He made 20 saves.
