Bertuzzi agrees to tryout contract with AHL Senators
Veteran NHL forward Todd Bertuzzi on Friday agreed to a tryout contract with the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League

Todd Bertuzzi agreed to a professional tryout agreement with the Binghamton Senators on Friday. The Senators are the American Hockey League affiliate of the Ottawa Senators.

Binghamton announced the veteran forward is scheduled to join the team Jan. 12.

The 39-year-old forward has not played this season after finishing 2013-14 with the Detroit Red Wings. In 59 regular-season games he had nine goals, 16 points and a minus-17 rating. He also played in one Stanley Cup Playoff game.

In 18 NHL seasons with the New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, Red Wings, Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames, Bertuzzi has 314 goals and 770 points in 1,159 games.
