PORTLAND, Ore. - Miles Koules scored three times and Adin Hill stopped 29 shots as the Portland Winterhawks blanked the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds 4-0 on Sunday in Western Hockey League play.
Alex Overhardt also scored for the Winterhawks (21-17-3) while Alex Schoenborn tacked on two assists.
Taran Kozun turned away 21-of-24 shots for the Thunderbirds (19-16-4), who had their six-game win streak snapped.
Portland went 1 for 3 on the power play while Seattle failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.

REGINA — Radel Fazleev scored the shootout winner and Mack Shields made 28 saves as Calgary edged the Pats.
Layne Bensmiller and Connor Rankin scored in regulation time for the Hitmen (21-15-3).
Dryden Hunt and Connor Gay each had a goal and an assist for Regina (24-12-3), which had its four-game win streak halted. Daniel Wapple kicked out 31 shots in defeat.
