Conor Allen breaks third-period tie as Wolf Pack come back to beat IceCaps

HARTFORD, Conn. - Conor Allen broke a tie in the third period as the Hartford Wolf Pack scored four straight to beat the St. John's IceCaps 4-2 on Friday night in American Hockey League action.

Tommy Hughes started the comeback with a short-handed goal late in the second period for the Wolf Pack (18-11-4). Chad Nehring also chipped in while Michael Kostka added an empty-netter.

Scott Kosmachuk and Kyle MacKinnon opened the scoring for St. John's (12-16-6).

Mackenzie Skapski turned away 18 shots for the win while Peter Budaj made 27 saves for the IceCaps.

Hartford went 0 for 6 on the power play while St. John's scored once on seven chances.
