Nikolaj Ehlers (Winnipeg Jets) and Oliver Bjorkstrand (Columbus Blue Jackets) scored in the shootout for Denmark. Goalie Georg Sorensen made 42 saves and stopped two of three shootout participants.
Kris Schmidli and Kevin Fiala (Nashville Predators) scored in the first period to give Switzerland a 2-0 lead. Bjorkstrand scored with 2:02 left in the period to make it 2-1.
Goals by Denmark's Anders Krogsgaard and Mikkel Aagaard sandwiched one by Switerland's Timo Meier for a 3-3 tie entering the third period.
Denmark lost six games in 2008, six games in 2012, and its first three this year.
Slovakia 5, Germany 2: Martin Reway scored a hat trick, and goalie Denis Godla made 28 saves for Slovakia, which clinched third place in Group A behind Canada and the United States, who play for first place Wednesday.
Robert Lantosi and Matus Sukel also scored for Slovakia. Frederik Tiffels had the goals for Germany.
Reway (Montreal Canadiens) scored twice in the third period, his second of the game giving Slovakia a 4-1 lead 2:05 into the period.
